Mehndi Paste Recipe
Ingredients:
- 50g high-quality LionMehndiArt’s Mehndi.
- 20g sugar
- Water (add gradually to adjust consistency)
- 17ml LionMehndiArt’s Mehndi Oil
Instructions:
- In a bowl, combine henna powder, sugar, and mehndi oil.
- Gradually add water while mixing to achieve a smooth consistency. Avoid adding too much water at once.
- Use a beater machine to remove lumps and mix thoroughly until the paste reaches a mashed potato-like consistency.
- Lightly sprinkle water over the paste to prevent it from drying out.
- Cover the bowl with shrink wrap and let it sit for at least 6 hours at room temperature to allow the dye to release. Avoid air-conditioned rooms and direct sunlight.
- Once the dye has released, mix the paste again and add a little water if needed to adjust the consistency.
- Your mehndi paste is now ready! Fill cones and enjoy applying your freshly made mehndi.
Shelf Life:
- Mehndi powder & oil remain fresh for up to 1 year if stored properly.
Mehndi Aftercare Tips
- Always cover the tip of the cone and store it in the freezer when not in use.
- For the best results, use freshly made mehndi within 7 days.
- Keep the mehndi on your skin until completely dry (at least 5-6 hours; overnight is ideal).
- Apply mehndi on clean, dry skin—wash hands with soap before application.
- Do not use water to remove dried mehndi. Instead, scrape it off using aftercare oil, then apply aftercare balm immediately.
- Apply the balm 3 times over the next 24 hours to enhance the color and keep the skin moisturized.
- Avoid water exposure for 24 hours after removing mehndi—wear gloves or a plastic bag if necessary.
- The stain will initially appear bright orange and gradually darken to deep maroon or black within hours.
Aftercare Product Shelf Life:
- Aftercare oil & balm should be used within 6 months after opening.
- Always perform a patch test before use. If irritation occurs, wash off immediately.
Enjoy your beautifully dark and long-lasting mehndi ! 💕
